Our Hohner Clavinets are often complete restorations unless otherwise noted. The cabinets are repaired and re-tolexed, given new hardware, and oftentimes have custom finishes on the wood paneling. The harps are restrung with a fresh set of KRSS strings, new yarn is woven through the strings for stable dampening, and the tips are replaced with new KRSS fabrications. Our Whammy clavinets have a KRSS whammy system installed for bending notes. The preamps are updated for stability, and shielded for quieter operation. Thorough alignments of the tips to the frets as well as proper keybed leveling provide consistent strikes on each note with the best possible sound.
